It is unfortunate that such a major employer in the area has such little respect in the community. There is a good reason though. Hunter Douglas has absolutely no respect for their employees. A standard work week is 6 days and 50+ hours. That is mandatory, which leaves no time for family life. Once you burnout from the hours they'll gladly fire you and replace you. Starting pay is low and raises are in the 2-3% range so you never get any further ahead. There are employees that have been there 5-10 years and are making no more than new hires. There is a major drug problem and management turns a blind eye. Unfortunately, that is all they are getting now because they've burned through pretty much everyone else in the area. There are many other better places in the area to work that actually value their employees and where you can actually make a career. I would definitely recommend you stay away from HD.

I would like to rate zero stars they do not even deserve one. Management in this manufacturing plant is very unprofessional and inexperienced. If you are not a Favorite "in the click" you will be fired and treated very poorly. I do not understand the raise schedule at all. Or lack thereof....They do not follow a procedure. This is the very worst supervised plant in this area...

1 star is being generous. Management is clueless. Most of the managers don't leave their offices. You seldom see the plant manager and when you do he looks (and is) completely clueless. If management got out more, they might actually see how miserable their employees are. Never mind, they probably wouldn't care anyway. Awful place to work. They advertise 4 10s but it is actually 5 10s plus 8 on Saturday. On top of the hours, you're treated like a dog. Awful....

If you are looking for a place to work a mandatory 50-60 hours a week, be lied to and treated like dirt by management, work with the dregs of Cumberland, have ready access to all of your favorite drugs, and just all around dread your work life then Hunter Douglas is for you! Otherwise, look elsewhere.

Cumberland was great, the traversing Rollinghills and so rawling with green grass was delightful. My stint was brief, I started my new adventure at the Hunter Douglas fabrication facility where I was welcomed with open arms and friendly people. For a short stay, I recommend Cumberland on the border of Pennsylvania and West Virginia
